With so many great products introduced to its mobile app, Facebook wanted to utilize the space in the More Menu to drive incremental product engagement. Facebook came to Ueno to explore and design promotional units that help people learn about products that are new to them. The final deliverable is a guideline that informs the Facebook team on content strategy and visual structure to help them create new promotional units.

My role as the primary product designer included content ideation and strategy, prototyping, and visual design (including the guideline). I worked with Ueno’s Creative Director, a content strategist, and a designer to tackle this project. We collaborated with stakeholders that included a Director of Product Design, Product Managers, and Designers from Facebook.
